This year’s Graduation took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank on Wednesday 30thOctober. We saw over 150 graduates walk across the stage to receive recognition of their Level 3 and 4 qualifications from the Mayor of Lambeth himself, Ibrahim Dogus.

Ibrahim showed gratitude by saying, ‘Thank you to Lambeth College and all they do for all of us here in Lambeth.’ He went on to say, ‘Education is such an important part of our lives, which enriches us as individuals.’

Fiona Morey, Executive Principal of Lambeth College, added, ‘This year is a very special year in the history of Lambeth College, because you are the first students graduating since we have joined London Southbank University Group and we’re a family of education institutions.’

It was a proud moment for all involved as staff, family and friends saw students receive the accolades they so rightly deserved after working so hard.

Many of our Graduates have secured University places and this graduation has provided them with the stage rehearsal for their future successes. Sports Graduate, Devarn Ashmeil, is going on to Coventry University and said: “Lambeth pushed me from pass to merit, and then made sure I got distinctions for everything.”

Fashion Graduate Eshe George said: “I really had great moments with my friends and working with them. I’ve really had fun.” This was apparent throughout and everyone could see the connections people had made while studying at the College.

Lambeth College is an inclusive environment promoting equality and diversity and gives its students alternative routes into further and higher education.

‘They make you feel at home. You feel really supported and they really help you with your dreams, and how to achieve them.’ Helenice  Oliveira, Business Administration Graduate.
