Friends, welcome!

It is an honour to be here today to celebrate the anniversary of this beautiful temple.

For 24 years the Shree Swaminarayan Temple has been central to the community here in Streatham, just as the International Swaminarayan Satsang Organisation operates as a global, interconnected network bringing people of different ages and nationalities together in faith.

The Shree Swaminarayan Temple is a part of our network here in Lambeth. One of many that make up the fabric of Lambeth’s diverse mosaic.

And as the International Swaminarayan Satsang Organisation flourishes worldwide united by “One God, One Leader, One Vision” the Temple here in Streatham and its devotees bring so much to the wider Lambeth community and playing a vital role in our thriving borough.

Lambeth’s strength is in its diversity. We come from every corner, but we are united. Many backgrounds, but one common future. One community, one Lambeth, one London, one world. Which is why I am so happy to be here with you today.

And to wish you 24 more years of mutual support, companionship and success.
